From origins to a contemporary structure
Founded by Agostino Lauro in 1948, the company launched its first connection service in the Gulf of Naples and has always been a prominent player in the local maritime sector. In the 1990s, under the leadership of Hon. Salvatore Lauro, the group expanded its activities through new marketing strategies and fleet improvements, purchasing fast vessels and carrying out scheduled refits of existing units.
In recent years the group has focused on young talent, fast responses to customer needs and the second generational transition, enhancing continuity, experience and family tradition. Today it counts more than 600 people, around 40 vessels and over 3 million passengers per year, with investments also in the Naples Maritime Station, hospitality, food service, passenger safety and technologically advanced business solutions.
